Suffolk Artlink

A Friendly Gathering Focusing on Local Arts and Crafts

--------------------------------

During the enforced absence of group meetings associated with the coronavirus restrictions, we are pleased to announce that in April 2020 our new blog was  launched to encourage online participation.

To start things off poet and wordsmith Dean Parkin has taken the theme 'What Your Village is Made Of' and put forward some interesting and thought provoking ideas.  Others will follow on a weekly basis.  The idea is for us to compile a picture of Beyton together by using your words, stories and photos.  Please take a look and join in, we would love to hear from you.

On 26 Feb 2020 Suffolk Artlink visited Beyton with a view to encouraging people to get together to explore areas of local interest.  The idea was that suggestions brought forward would then be developed further as a group exercise over a number of weeks under the leadership of a visiting artist.

A very pleasant morning was attended by 13 residents which generated lots of discussion on a variety of topics.  Notes from the morning are available on the organiser's website at:

Obviously, we can no longer meet face-to-face - but Suffolk Artlink artists are busy coming up with all sorts of ways of keeping in touch, from creative activities posted online, to good old fashioned letters - to which end we need to collect the postcards distributed at our initial meeting and postal details for all those who would like to continue receiving snail mail from us.
