Theft and Security (Mar 2018)
Be vigilant and keep safe and secure. There have been a number of reports of break-ins, damage to parked cars and tools stolen over the past few weeks. Locations in Beyton and Hessett have been targeted. Make sure you remain vigilant and report any suspicious incidents to the police by phoning 101.
Bin Collections in Adverse Weather
In the event of poor weather conditions such as snow, heavy rain or high winds MSDC will always attempt to empty your bins where they are accessible and it is safe to do so. If your waste is not collected on your scheduled collection day, please leave it at your normal collection point and they will return to collect as soon as it is safe to do so
Community Emergency Plan (Download)
This document will help you in an emergency (for example a storm, flood or inclement weather) by providing information on who you can contact and people available to help you in the case of an emergency. It will also provide you with a list of locations within the village that could be used as emergency centres.

Private Pumping Stations
From October 2016, many private pumping stations will be transferred to Anglian Water who will take responsibility, and meet future maintenance and running costs. This could mean substantial savings for those affected. For more information go to: www.spotapumpingstation.co.uk
